Luis was an answer to our prayers! My elderly parents' air conditioner went out over the weekend. The temperatures were in the high 80s in the main part of the house. Luis came out to their house from over an hour away, at 8:30pm after working for 12 hours and stayed until the multiple issues were resolved. He didn't leave until after 10:30. We could tell what a great guy he is and he understood we felt it was an emergency for my parents because of the high temperatures and their age.
Not only was he able to fix the initial problem but he also identified and fixed another potential issue on the 2nd unit that we didn't even know existed. Had he not discovered that, we would have experienced the unit for my parents' room freezing up in the very near future. He was amazing and definitely our hero! I highly recommended this company and Luis!

I had a refrigerant leak in my system last year. They came out and "fixed" it and charged me. Now this summer I turned the unit on and it's out of refrigerant. When I called and spoke to Joe the manager of residential hvac he said they don't warranty or guarantee there workmanship and I'll need to pay again. When I expressed my disappointment, I was hung up on. Pathetic! I understand they didn't install the unit but they did do a full leak inspection and said it was now leak free, when it's clearly not.

Andrew was was a huge help in diagnosing our pipe issue. We had a sink that was backing up and Andrew went above and beyond with working out the issue. We have been using Gainesville Mechanical for over 15 years for regular servicing and for the installation of a complete heat pump system in our basement about 12 years ago. Most recently they replaced the A/C compressor/ condenser unit for for our upper floor system (unit was old and worked hard). As has always been the case these guys did an outstanding job and we are enjoying cool air in our bedroom again.
Their service was timely being delayed only by a supply chain issue on the unit (everyone has this issue due to parts shortages). They gave us an ETA upfront of two weeks for the install and the job was done in that time period. I want to especially recognize and compliment Sergio, who identified the issue and gave us our options, as well as Jason and Francisco for their work on the install.
Everything was done timely and professionally and most importantly they showed up when they said they would. I cannot speak more highly of this company and their entire staff. Update April 2022: Gainesville Mechanical did a great job replacing my main level heating and air system this week. They showed up when they said they'd be here and David & Miles were in and out in a little more than half a day.
I couldn't be more pleased. I've used Gainesville Mechanical for over 15 years and have come to expect nothing less from them. Andrew Arrowood of Gainesville Mechanical saved our weekend again! He replaced our water heater in less than two hours on a Saturday! I purchased a Bryant variable speed HVAC system from Gainesville Mechanical in May of 2021. The installation was done by David and Conner. They were on time, professional, and got me set up and ready to go in no time. The AC was a revelation over the summer, compared to my old system. I rarely ever heard it running, yet the temperature stayed consistently at my set point, and the savings were immediately obvious on my electric bill.
I did run into an issue with the furnace, where the thermostat was reporting a high temperature issue. Gainesville Mechanical immediately dispatched Todd to evaluate and repair the issue. Todd did an exceptional job, including discovering that the previous homeowner had covered over one of the air returns with wood paneling. He precisely located the return and perfectly cut a hole for a grill to be placed over.
In the end, the furnace ended up being defective from the factory, and was replaced under warranty. No muss, no fuss. I am quite pleased with my experience and would be happy to recommend Gainesville Mechanical to anyone with HVAC needs!
