Heatman

Howard installed a heating and air conditioning unit in my home a few years ago and told me that it was a top of the line stated. Now I can't get any heat in the winter and too hot in the summer. When I called him about my issues he came out and told me that the unit he installed is not really good for our climate. Now he seems to be MIA and I seem to be screwed. Thanks for nothing.

Howard seems to have left the area. The unit I paid 5000 for 2 years ago does not keep up with the cold in winter and does not keep up with the heat in summer. It is currently 80 degrees in my house, and the unit is running nonstop. Piece of junk. Now that Howard is gone, there is no one to call or repair whatever is wrong with it. I guess I was majorly ripped off.

I purchased a Goodman "blower" from Heatman, and they had to come work on it the next two summers. Last year it ran OK, but now, during this early July heatwave, it is not working again and the numbers listed for them do not work! The Martinsburg number is out of service, and the Charles Town number just gives a beeping sound, like circuits busy. I called Howard's cell, and the automated message says that the person I am calling is "not available now, " and to call back later.this has been since Sat. evening, and it is now Tuesday afternoon.

I have a ten-year warranty on this unit, and do not want to have to pay for someone else to fix it, though I may yet have to. Next, I am going to the Liberty St. and Augustine Ave. addresses to see if I can find these people!

Hired Heatman to install an air conditioning system for me summer before last 2015. What was suppose to be a 4 hour job turned into a 3 day job with an incompetent installation crew. Within 2 weeks had water pouring from my ceiling and was told it was a dirty filter. The young man that installed the system was disrespectful to my wife when we questioned why he lied to his boss.

And he did lie to him for his boss ask us why we would not let him in the house. I could go on for days, but, just saying. stay away from these incompetent individuals. Still have not totally got the problem cleared up and of course they won't answer their phone.

I called Howard aka the Heatman and had the worst experience you could possibly have with an HVAC company. Long story short $4,200 later I have water damage a system that won't work and Howard will not answer his phone. My mom had the same system installed and it is going to cost them around $774 to possible $2,000 depending how much is wrong. Do not call these people do not do business with them. They are charlatans.

I wouldn't recommend this guy to my worst enemy. He told me to meet him at the job in 20 min. 30 min later i called him and he said he was still on the other job. Then he canceled an hour later and said he would get me first thing in the morning. Well i have yet to hear from him. I rated one star bc it wouldn't let me rate zero!

Howard came out the same day I called, and a new (and needed) heat pump was installed the next. Many thanks to Howard and his excellent crew.

HIGHLY recommend! Spoke to a technician by text, and he answered many troubleshooting questions and I got my oil furnace burning in no time. Next time I have trouble Heatman will be my first (and only) call. Thanks Kelvin!

I just had a good experience with Heatman HVAC. I called this morning and the technician was nearby and stopped by within an hour. There was a lot of trouble shooting involved as I had already examined the capacitor and fans. He checked the voltages and found that the one weak point was probably my thermostat. He easily installed one and even did a couple more double checks to see that I was in good shape for the future He also gave me some maintenance tips for the future. All of this came at a very fair price which is what made me happy enough to write this review.

I had what I thought was my heat pump go out today. I contacted Heatman and they were quick to respond to my service request. It turned out to be a transformer, which Kelvin quickly and efficiently fixed. I was very pleased with the service and the great Saturday rate. I would highly recommend this business for your heating needs.
