The entire Kaplan crew lacks appropriateness. the work was generally ok but poorly scheduled and inappropriately staffed. The firm is verrrry whimsical and deceptive in their nature.unfortunate. NONE of their products were priced anywhere near the range affordable for seniors.$5500.00 for just a furnace.you judge. We have moved since the install. feel sorry for new owners.product overly pricey and I am sure repairs will also be the same.

I can't say enough good things about this company and particularly Mike Amato. A friend recommended them and I called yesterday morning because my AC was not working. Within a few hours Mike was there. Very personable, knowledgeable and honest. The AC is probably 20 years old so I was worried I'd need to replace it. Turned out it was just very low on freeon. Took him almost two hours to melt the ice build up and replace the freeon. Very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

If you want really friendly laid-back folks who have poor customer service skills then Al Kaplan Heating is for you! 10/27/17 1:45pm: I call to see if they have a furnace filter we need in stock. A very friendly & jovial Al Kaplan says they don't, but he can get one tomorrow. I give them my info. 10/28/17 12:45pm: I call to follow-up on my order since I'd like to get it today as promised.
A friendly woman puts me on hold for 3 minutes. She picks up and says "he's still talking on the phone, can I have him call you back?" I agree and give my number again. 1:45pm: Concerned why it's taking an hour to return a brief call, I call again. A very laid-back Jason tells me "We're having some difficulty locating this filter. We should have it on Monday".
I said, "Monday is too late. We were told it would be in today, Friday. Why am I being told this now?" Jason replied, "I don't know. I'm just seeing this." I cancelled the order and any future dealings with Al Kaplan. They're very nice, but not very motivated to keep my business and don't seem to care very much.

I have been using Al Kaplan Heating & Air Conditioning for several years now. They are family owned and operated (I know the family), and have done a great job for us. They came out recently as soon as our AC went out (during an April heat wave!), and they had the situation fixed very quickly, thank goodness! Very satisfied!
