I use Polar Heating & Cooling every year for maintenance. Two years ago, I replaced my AC/Furnace unit and the crew was great. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing that I had a slight problem with was the arrival of the technician this year. He came approx. 40 minutes earlier than expected and looked at me like it was not problem.

I had a virtual meeting scheduled up until about 10 minutes before my scheduled time, so I hadn't planned on an early arrival. It's okay to be early, but this was a meeting that I could not have anyone else present, and could not move from my computer. If I had been given a call ahead of time that they were coming early, then I could have been more prepared for my meeting. Other than that, great company!

CALL ANYONE ELSE! I called them to repair an A/C line that had a hole put into it during a roofing repair. I explained everything to them over the phone, when the technician called me, he had no idea what was going on. I was under the assumption that they were coming out to repair it. Instead they came out told me it would be cheaper to replace the whole system instead of repairing.

After being told that, I asked for the estimates for both. After 24 hrs and 2 phone calls. They finally sent me the quotes they charged me $100 for. The technician Omar completely lied to me and the repair was $2000 less than a new install. The repair was also priced extremely high and was nothing but a grab to get me a new system. I called another company, they repaired it for $1500 less than what polar quoted me.

They completely refuse to refund me my $100 and won't let me speak with a manager. Don't walk, run from this place. Use anybody else. Response 6/8/22 Thanks for reaching out and making it sounds like you care. None of your service reps would even let me speak to a manager over a weeks period and multiple phone calls. Nobody ever told me there would be a $100 diagnosis fee until after he was done.

It's extremely ignorant for you guys to just assume that customers should know that. I didn't need it to be diagnosed because I already knew the exact problem. I just wanted it fixed at a reasonable price which is something you guys obviously don't do. Also, you refused to warranty any work you were going to do at my residence. Here's the proof people. (Picture attached) They just keep lying and lying. Also, when I tried to negotiate your extremely high price with you, and hopefully get you guys to warranty your work, you completely refused.

So don't act like your flexible with your prices and you'll beat competitors. You're full of it. The other company did the entire repair for the price you were trying to charge me just for you extremely marked up refrigerant. Like I said RUN! Call anybody else. Don't fall into their trap like I did. Basically they give you an outrageous price for a repair to push you into a new install, and if you dont take the bait for their new install and don't want to pay the crazy repair price. They will still have you for $100 and they'll walk away with a smile on their face.

They're not interested in doing repairs. Called to get service on my hot water heater and the guy quoted me $1k in parts + labor and service and suggested I pay $2.2k for a new hot water heater. After the technician left, I YouTubed some videos and fixed the issue myself. Was a relatively easy fix.

Polar Heating came to do a maintenance service on a steam boiler. The technician came across as very conscientious and professional. I had many questions about it, since I was not familiar, the technician patiently explained everything to me and there were no scare tactics to make me pay for unnecessary services. Polar is the best! We have used them several times for our properties. The office staff is always super friendly and their technicians are always prompt and on time. Their communication is top notch! They make everything super easy to schedule appointments and have even helped us out in emergency situations on a last minutes notice! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

UPDATE: They sent another team out the following day and the next crew fixed everything and then some. Much better experience the second time around. They fixed all the gaps, taped everything so it was sealed properly, replaced the vent, and the rest of the floo piping. A little irritated I had to have them come a second time, but glad that they made it right.

I made a mistake not taking a closer look at everything before they left. There are a bunch of gaps in the duct work above the furnace that I didn't notice. There are a lot of inconsistencies. I was told by the guy who did the estimate that they could fix the rust spot in my floor vent pipe. They said it wasn't on the paperwork so they couldn't do it.

They unhooked my smoke detector and left it hanging and turned off. They did not clean the work area well at all. They clearly just wanted to do the bare minimum and leave. The gaps in the duct work are creating an annoying whistling sound I never had before. I'm sure I'll notice more things wrong later. I'm extremely disappointed.

Called for service and they responded immediately. Came out to our home within two hours and provided a quote for the replacement of the furnace and thermostat. The quote was professionally discussed and we accepted the offer. The replacement unit with all labor was provided within 24 hours and completed the job within 6 hours. All old equipment was taken away and the worksite cleaned up. They provided us a description of the new operation of the thermostat and filter replacement. We are very satisfied with Polar Heating, very professional people.

This place lists as a repair for radiant or geothermal heating. The guy that came was very nice but did not know how a** from a hole in the ground when it came to geothermal heat. After an hour, they left with nothing solved or fixed. Stuck with a service charge for someone to come out and literally suggest things that were wrong and listed directly from the manufacturer. Said pump was upside down. Had to call another tech to determine it wasn't(it's literally labeled on the pump). Says water heaters are not used for radiant heat and one of the largest radiant suppliers in the country lied to me and only boilers are used. Did not know the difference between a closed loop and open loop system. Awful place when it comes to something they say is their field of expertise.
