Expensive. I have been a loyal customer of Pond's for over 25 years. I recently had installed two 50 gallon Rheem Classic Professional residential water heaters. They charged me a 'flat rate' for this work. The flat rate assumed that there were needed updates in bringing to code any issues such as repiping, replacing old installations, installing earth quake strapping and etc. Pond's previously installed 6.5 years ago two 50 gallon Rheem Classic Professional water heaters and Pond's had all ready addressed any issue for code requirements.
Yet they still used 'flat rate pricing' and it is easy to over charged using this method. I further looked into it and became even more frustrated as a loyal customer to discover that I could purchase these same water heaters online saving $2,000 and paid a licensed plumber to install. Suggestions for future customers, have an onsite bid and ask the following: 1.
What does 'flat rate' charges include? 2. What is needed for updates to code requirements as 'flat rate assumptions' suggest there are needed 'extra expenses' to bring you to a current code status? 3. What equipment is needed and what equipment could alternately buy purchased? Griffin was very professional. He found AND FIXED a couple of problems with the Munchkin boiler that could have resulted in major issues. He also communicated another issue that could cause problems in the future. I told him I would like to get that fixed ASAP. He knows his stuff. Hopefully, he is available to do the work on the boiler in the future.

Pond's is very busy, because they are so good. However, they made time for us since the leak was getting bigger. Griffin was very friendly and professional. We have two heaters in our house, one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs. Our downstairs heater started having problems so we called Ponds Plumbing, heating and AC. They were very prompt about getting a technician out to see us two days before Christmas. Our technician Alex Gilchrist spent two days troubleshooting and working on the problem and was so awesome in solving and repairing our problem.

We have been using Pond's for 15 years. They service our furnace, boiler, water heater, etc. every six months and we always have amazing service. They found a crack in our heat exchange this time and were able to get Travis out right away to help us replace the furnace. He was friendly, professional, and walked us through all of our options helping us to feel educated about our decision.
We were grateful that even with all of the supply chain issues going on in the country, Travis was able to get us scheduled for an install within a week and just in time for winter to hit. We are so grateful to Travis, Jake, and everyone at Pond's who has taken such good care of us for all these years.

The Pond's representative assessed the old hot water heater to determine the need for new unit. He explained his plan and changes that would need to be completed prior to installation of the new unit. He reviewed the costs and warranty with me including options. He discussed the amount of time needed and water shut down procedures. He was open to any questions I had regarding the project.
At the end of the install he reviewed the information regarding the new unit including temp. settings for the unit. His work was neat and efficient. Overall I would give him a five star rating.

I had an emergency after hours and Steve was quick to come out and create a temporary solution to a problem in my 100+ year old house. He was extremely helpful and worked with me to fix the problem so I could turn the water back on to the rest of my house. The following week Tim installed a new water heater. He clearly explained all the work that would be done and answered all my questions. He and his assistant took extra care to make sure everything was up to code and safe with the challenges of my old house.

This company is outstanding. Pond's has done plumbing, heating and AC work for us. They were able to help me get my garage temperature controlled for my classic cars by installing a mini split and AprilAire humidity control system. We had a problem with a leak in a plumbing fixture over a year after they installed the system. Travis came to my house within hours, fixed the problem himself and Pond's offered to pay for the drywall repairs in the area of the leak without me even asking.
That is how you do business. What matters the most is how you take care of a problem and this company clearly stands behind their work. I would highly recommend them and will be using Pond's for all our plumbing, heating and AC needs.

New to Utah. Utilized community resources to find heating and repair company with good reviews. Requested service from the website, promptly called within one hour of initiating request. Dispatch staff very friendly and helpful. Appointment accommodated same day, with tentative appointment window of 1 to 3 hours. Received phone calls when technician in route to home.
Service issue diagnosed quickly and repairs began immediately. Several options Offered for service which also included a comfort service agreement option with biannual service checks. Our technician, Griffin, was friendly, courteous and explained things in detail. Very happy with service and will definitely use them again.

Our AC went out this summer and they were called for our second opinion/quote and boy are we god we did! The first company said we needed a new one and immediately tried selling us their Cadillac system. Ponds came out, said we just needed a new coil and it still had plenty of years left in it. Wow - an honest contractor! While they were here we had them tune up our furnace.
This winter when we actually started using it, we noticed a vibration. Ponds came out and fixed it for the price of the part -$9! This is a honest company with friendly, reliable technicians that always kept us up to date with their arrival time. I will use them for life!

Our water filter needed to be changed. We watched YouTube videos and tried our hand. That's when things went south. We couldn't get the filter system to seal. We faced Super Bowl Sunday with no water. A call to ponds and we had the help we needed within minutes. We purchased our water heater an filtration system from Ponds. Steve Snowball is legit the best plumber I've ever met in my life! He deserves some sort of award and paid vacation! This is seriously no joke. He missed out on thanksgiving that's right Thanksgiving ! Because a pipe in my condo decided it had enough ( granted it also turned out it was from an old fix someone didn't do right ) . He went above and beyond my expectations.
He is equipped with exceptional customer service care, knowledgeable as well as a great educator. I really can't speak highly enough about him. My family and friends will ONLY use Ponds Plumbing from now on.

These people are great. I had an issue with my radiant heating, and it took a few tries to get the problem licked, but every tech I dealt with was very professional and kind. They came to my home promptly, multiple times, and get the issues resolved. They did a few extras for me, and I really feel they went above and beyond for me and my family. They have EARNED my business for life.

After having another plumbing company give me an estimate this morning I didn't feel comfortable. I decided to stop into Pond's Plumbing for a second opinion. I was greeted immediately and the estimate from pictures was about a third of the competitors estimate. Furthermore, it also included a garbage disposal with installation. If that wasn't good enough, they showed up a few hours later to install it. I will definitely call them next time I need any plumbing or heating work.

After two weeks of unrelenting heat, I began to check options. I called Pond's but they were booked out two weeks. I called another place that gave me a quick date but I could tell from the questions that they were going to try sell me a new air conditioner even though I was pretty confident we didn't need one.
I had second thoughts and contacted Pond's again & they promised to get me in sooner if they had a cancellation. True to their word, I got a call the next day about a cancellation. I felt treated like a valued customer from beginning to end. The issue was minor and quickly taken care of. Their follow-up was thorough and I have recommended them to many people already and will not hesitate to use them again if I need them.

I wanted to replace a toilet in our new home and asked Jeff Park at Ponds what he recommended. He suggested a high powered flushing toilet. It was about $50 more than the others but he said he put it in his kids bathroom at his home and it never got clogged. I trusted his word and I have gone 18 months without having a clogged up toilet. (That is the one my kids use as well.) I have also called Ponds when I had an emergency situation after my workers hit a pipe drilling through a wall on a job. Ponds responded immediately and fixed the situation in less than 90 minutes. It was less than $200. I would highly recommend them.

I just moved in to my new home. I decided to have my furnace checked out, and something was wrong under my kitchen sink. They were on time, actually two vans showed up at the same time. One for heating, and the other for the plumbing. They only charged me one service call, that was awesome. They both did such a great job, I am very pleased. They didn't try to up sale me at all, just honesty. Would use again in a heartbeat. The guys were very clean, and actually good looking that was a bonus. They were very professional.
