When our vintage 70s Sears do-it-yourself roof AC finally gave up the ghost, Tom Kelly came over and got us started with a quote for a replacement unit that included a (similarly vintage) furnace upgrade. Three days later, our new system was installed and working great; and with the exception of a starter cap failure three years later (which he replaced with a better one, then threw in a Freon boost for good measure), it's been working flawlessly.

He knows the business well (he told us the sordid history of the Sears AC in remarkable detail - who knew?), he's been around a long time, and he's clearly skilled, savvy and honest in his trade. I recommend Kelly's HVAC without qualification.

I called because my Ac wasn't working and the guy came and worked on my unit for 3 hours and had it working for 10 mins and still didn't work after that. In the 3 hours all he did was flush out a pipe and that's it. Told me that plumbing was connected to our Ac unit which didn't make sense to me but ok. So he charged me $250 and still didn't fix the issue.

So now I'm out the money and still don't have a working Ac unit. Nice guy but didn't seem like he wanted to actually work and also gave me the run around. Also had the guy return and he told me it was because of our compressor was leaking and that wasn't true (new guy came and looked at unit). So basically this company just sends out guys to make a quick buck.

Won't fix root cause of ac leak. Will give you runaround and keep refilling with freon. I don't believe the repairman really wants to do any actual work besides refill w freon. Good luck.
