Had a strange and confusing experience with this company. I had the technician Woods out to take a look at my system and do an inspection. He gave his recommendations and then we decided to move forward with a duct cleaning job and replacing another part. He scheduled it for the next day and came over to sign the papers and collect the full payment.
We were not comfortable giving them the full payment before the job was done. He was rather confrontational and after a lot of back and forth his manager agreed to a $1000 deposit (about half of what the job would have cost). Woods signed the contract and scheduled it for the next day. The next day no one arrived at all. We received no contact from the company.
We called them and they said we did not have an appointment. They sent two techs out to do the job, but after getting here and almost getting started the techs talked to their manager who said they weren't supposed to be here at all and so they left. We were very upset about this because I took a whole day off for this service that was not performed or informed that we were not getting it.
The techs said to talk to Cory and he would explain it but Cory keeps avoiding our calls. They said he was out of office (at 4pm on a weekday?) I know I will never get to speak to him because he will have to own up to what happened. Apparently Woods canceled our service for some reason. We were ready to give this company thousands of dollars so I guess we should be thanking him for preventing us from supporting this company. Don't hire this company unless you want your service cancelled without notice even after signing a contract and paying a deposit.

First, I should start with saying my first impression/contact was with Steve (sales) who sold us on using A#1. He was kind, understanding and not pushy. As we all know "first impression" means everything, so he did his job. We agreed to replacing whole new system A/C, furnace, coils and duct cleaning. The two a/c techs were just wonderful, very polite, professional and knowledgeable.
They did a great job, they deserve a raise or some recognition for there hard work. Plus, they were very careful while having to work around all my flower beds. I was worried, but then had NO worries. Great job! Thank you

Called for help as the outside AC unit was freezing up but the inside AC wasn't blowing at all. It is 12:18am and the tech and salesperson left at 10pm, and it is 88 degrees in our home. We got a quote for a new system because ours apparently utilizes out of date refrigerant. The tech offered to waive the charge for the refrigerant that he would add so that my 4 boys and I wouldn't be too hot all night.
He waited, conveniently enough, until the sales guy was about to close on the sale of a 15k new system to tell me that the outdoor unit was still freezing up but wait an hour and it will work. It didn't. We were bamboozled. And we are sweltering, and two of us have serious asthma.

I would NOT recommend A1 Air for a new HVAC purchase and install. Despite Chase's (the sales person) repeated emphasis on how much they value satisfied customers, that was not my experience. Their 100% satisfaction guarantee appears nothing more than a marketing slogan, with no real follow up or concern for the actual experience. My install two weeks ago was completed late afternoon.
We left the house and returned several hours later to find the master bedroom at 79 degrees. Clearly the unit was not working. I called A1 to get someone to address the situation. After some polite insistence, they agreed to send a tech that evening. It turns out the duct work in the attic was not connected and the line from the condenser unit was leaking profusely.
For the record, Alejandro, the late night service tech deserves a "10" for finding both major installation issues and staying 4+ hours, until 2am to rectify the situation. No one from A1 contacted me as a follow up ( I know the issues were documented and communicated by Alejandro) and to see if I had any further concerns. Later, I received the text survey regarding my experience and rated my experience as a "1" (worst) and further indicated that I would not recommend them.
No response. Nothing says "we don't care" like not responding to direct customer feedback. Why bother asking? Finally, after two weeks I contacted the permit department to see if I needed an inspection with the city which they are supposed to coordinate. It turns out I am required to have one. I am convinced that had I not called, it would not have occurred. Overall, a really poor experience and a repeated lack of concern by A1. My next repair or install will be done with the many other reputable companies in the area

We had a problem with our AC system and called A #1 Air to look at it. The technician who came out checked our system and initially recommended a $1,000 thorough cleaning of our inside unit. Then after checking our outside unit and freon his recommendation changed and stated we need to replace our whole AC system. The technician scheduled an appointment with a salesman a few days later.
The salesman came over checked our AC system and made some measurements. He then gave us a list of options for replacement of our AC system. It was clear he wanted to sell us a new AC system that day. We explained that we weren't ready to decide without a second opinion. The salesman's friendly deminer quickly changed. He stated we needed to make a decision soon or we would not have a working AC system going into the hottest part of the year.
We had another company come out to check our AC system that was a referral from a family member. We did not tell the second company that A #1 Air had check the system a few days before. The technician from the second company reported that he could not find anything wrong with our AC system, and that there was nothing he could do to make it run any better.
That in fact giving the age of our AC system its functioning quite well. A#1 Air doesn't seem to want to give customers honest assessments of their current AC equipment and would rather sell new AC systems.

I purchased an AC unit in 2015. Every year my unit freezes and every year I have to pay hundreds of dollars in repairs and freon. Some years it takes several trips from different service technicians to diagnose the problem. Today we spent over 700.00. With the money that I have spent in repairs over the years plus the money we pay for their membership we could have purchased a quality unit from a reputable company that stands by their product and provides a warranty with actual coverage.
I have never been so disappointed in a product, a company and the service provided. What a waste of money. Don't be duped by their advertising. "Guaranteed right day or night" and "100% satisfaction guarantee" are words this company does not stand behind.

We received excellent service from A#1 Air's team of Steve B. and Kaylie G on May 25, 2022. They came the same day we called for service and were very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. The price was also reasonable. We have used A#1 several times in the last 15 years and highly recommend them! Service: A/C system maintenance

Buyer beware is advised when dealing with these "salesmen." We had a coil freeze in July 2021. They convinced us we needed this $7000.00 repair and installation of 2, A1 Air Next generation Green Air systems. (No new coil) This would fix our problem, and make the air so much cleaner. Well what it did was increase our electric bill by 1/3 every month.
Then 6 months later when it starts to get warm the unit is not working correctly again. So they come out and tell me it's the same coil and needs to be replaced at another pricey fix. We called another local company for a second opinion. Yes coil needed replaced and should've been the first time, not t9 mention this company did it $1000 cheaper. The extra $7k we wasted on that fix was not needed in their opinion.
The coil would've fixed our problem and saved us $7k that we are still paying on thanks to A1's convenient financing! Thanks for nothing A1 Air. Me nor my family members or friends will EVER use these guys again. They are about repairs that insure future repairs. BEWARE AND GET ANOTHER OPINION. My fault and learned my lesson trusting them.

I put off replacing my AC/furnace as long as I could because I believed it would be a nightmare experience. From the first phone call all the way through install, I have been so happy and thrilled with the service. I knew I wanted to buy American and they knew exactly the unit I needed. I thought I would need a bigger unit and A#1 Air did not take advantage of my ignorance.
They recommended a smaller unit that would meet my needs. Alex and Frank were on time, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. They took the time to get the job right and make sure all my questions were answered. With the price match, I knew I was getting a good deal and they put a water heater in as well! Thank you for making this experience fun and I am so appreciative!
