This is a composite review for everyone who came out to deal with replacement of my old AC & Furnace plus the installation of my new tankless water heater & the electrical issue in the bathroom here. They were all helpful, friendly & arrived on time & did the work as quickly & efficiently as possible. Also answered any questions I had too. Good thing my availability right now is open as it was a lot of work to get done here.

Noah checked our heating system and noticed the capacitor was not reading correctly, so I had it replaced, which he accomplished during his stay. He also checked some of the heating vents for dust. Good company that gives professional service. Gave me an option of an expensive repair on my 20 year old furnace or to replace. Also that the air conditioner was nearing its end. I went for replacing both. They were able to do it the next day. Veniamin was the installer. Nothing but praise for him. When he pulled up the old air conditioner, the deck boards under it were rotted. I had some treated boards and he cut them to size and repaired the space. I was amazed that they could get electricians on such notice also. Thank you Sunset and Veniamin!

Walker and Julian were a great team: on time, good communicators, explained the process and answered my questions and were good about checking in with me for my input when needed and to get permission before taking steps during the process. Walker walked me through the process for how the system worked and thermostat control which was very helpful!

KIND patient so thorough in explaining details with precision directness willing to be redundant to allow my processing note taking involved clarification questions. warm genuine presence honest, thoughtful, proactive, comprehensive feedback recommendations with great detail (per my request his willing generosity) as to how each component relates to another, how they impact one another how work done to each impacts the process, so we could make our most informed decision with greater confidence. eric has high integrity with great ease allowed an experience that could be co fusing stressful, to instead feel fun, easy, clear, supportive, comforting collaborative. We thoroughly enjoyed sunset heating and cooling services. We had 3 mini splits installed into our unbearably hot top floor. It required some complicated mapping of the drains around our roof and the technicians took their time to make it look as seamless as possible from the outside of the house. They took their time and it showed!

Matt from Sunset Plumbing came out to do some maintenance on our heater and a/c and he did a fantastic job. Very courteous and professional and was able to diagnose a few issues and provide an action plan without being high pressure or sales-y. Definitely recommend! Service:HVAC system maintenance

My air conditioner crapped out and I called the first company that popped up on the Google that was still open late in the afternoon. They sent out a tech within an hour. Shavon was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we understood all our options. The work will be on Saturday, looking forward to having a working AC and heating unit!

Sam was extremely knowledgeable and patient in explaining how it all worked to me and my kid. :) He made us feel welcomed and, instead of rolling his eyes at how little I knew, he made it a positive and told me it was good to learn about your house. :) Totally great service. Zach was everything you'd want in an HVAC/AC systems inspector. Ten years of experience, friendly, efficient, and honest. He checked multiple components on both my old AC and my less aged gas furnace. He provided the good and the bad, life expectancy, possible upgrades, and the state of the pricing market. I will call them again in the future!

Just replaced my 29yr old AC unit and 17yr old furnace. My service tech, Shavon was Awesome! Professional, personable and knowledgeable. She spent close to 2 hrs diagnosing, suggesting options with no high pressure tactics. That was on a Saturday. Monday morning the installer was on the job as promised. Veniamin and his partner did an excellent job! The electrician as well. Great service, great company!

Sunset was able to fit me in next day as my AC just quit and was 87* inside my house. Shavon arrived in the time frame given and was wonderful, honest, spent extra time to find the exact problem and advocated for the next portion of service I needed the next day instead of the next week. Julian and Jake arrived on time with an upgraded unit. They were both very friendly, knowlegeable, efficient and within hours a whole new ac sytem, reconfigured the filter box and coil unit, installed an updated fuse box and thermostat.

And they loved on my big dogs; Wonderful field staff all the way around- this is great customer service that you cant find anymore! Thank you to all that were involved. Ishmael and Julian arrived on time and were so friendly efficient! Changed my filter, answered all my questions- i think it took them longer to drive from Portland in am traffic than it took them to complete the job!

I had a complicated ac install and they went above and beyond to get it taken care of, without any additional charges. They were professional and kept me informed of what they were doing and why. They showed up on time every time. They might be a bit more expensive but they make up for it with quality equipment and outstanding service. Edit: I just realized they replaced my furnace water pump as well and reinstallled the drain tubes so they were up to code without saying a word about it. I can't get over what a stellar job this company has done.

Shavon came out to give us an estimate on a new heat pump system. She was very knowledgeable and was able to thoroughly answer my questions. All around, a great experience

I called Sunset Heating and Cooling yesterday morning regarding my A/C not cooling enough. The technician arrived sometime after 1PM and by 2PM, the house was starting to cool down. Last summer I had called another company regarding my A/C unit and all the person did was to say "the unit is low in feron" and "need a new coil" without ever researching the problem. I will use Sunset Heating and Cooling again.

I had originally purchase a service plan for my HVAC system, but while Marques was inspecting my furnace he showed me pictures of my furnace that had cracks and needed replacing. He helped me select the furnace that fit my budget as well as a new hot water heater. He scheduled the install for later in the week. He was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.

Had an appointment on prior Tuesday for arrival between 1200 & 1700. Called at 1200 to get more accurate time, requesting later in window. She said she'd have tech call me. By 1630, I'd gotten no calls & called again. She contacted tech--they weren't going to make it & had rescheduled me for Wednesday without consulting me! I said I had prior appointments & was scheduled for Thursday.

I asked why I was never called, she said they were busy & "didn't have time."(excuse making) She also said the tech "couldn't find my address." (more excuse making) I again asked why the tech didn't call or Google my address. The implication was that I'd given wrong address (blame customer). She said the tech was "too busy to Google or call". Really?

Upon confirming address, they did correct address. I told person that this, was excuse making & incredibly poor service. NOLAN was the polar opposite. On time, pleasant, apologized for prior problem, great service, very communicative with lots of great advice. Totally changed my opinion about Sunset that I'd developed on Tuesday.

Steve was thorough at evaluating my job (re-routing furnace exhaust to side of house) and thinking through the details. They were also willing to get it permitted (surprising that so many didn't want to) and did so successfully. Filipe and Julian were an efficient and effective team. They did the job as Steve had outlined for them.

I needed to upgrade an outlet from a 15 amp to a 20 amp to be able to plug in my new spa. Aaron arrived promptly assessed the situation and gave me two choices as to how to proceed with the job. He was wonderful at educating me as to what the choices were, I had another company also giving me a bid for the same job and they came up twice as expensive as Sunset so I highly recommend Sunset heating and cooling. as well as Aaron Bishop he is top notch. Eric came by to diagnose why our heat pump was not working. He checked all parts of the system and explained our options as far as repair versus replacement. While the news was not good Eric did an excellent job of getting us the information and taking the time to answer all our questions.

I'm always impressed with their responsiveness to schedule a visit. We recently had our AC serviced and after a heat wave, wasn't producing cool air.
